438 potential immigration applicants invited via Manitoba’s PNP

On December 2, Manitoba held a new immigration draw.

A total of 438 immigration candidates were invited to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) through three Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs):

358 invitations with a minimum EOI score of 449 were sent out to skilled workers in Manitoba.

Overseas Skilled Workers — 51 invites with an EOI score of at least 726; and

International Education Stream – 29 invitations without the need for an EOI score.

71 of these invites were sent to people who applied through the Express Entry procedure.

The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are all part of Express Entry, which is Canada’s application management system for three federal high-skilled immigration programs.

The Comprehensive Ranking System is used to rate immigration prospects who submit a profile to the Express Entry system (CRS). Age, work experience, education, and language skills, among other things, are all given points. Through regular Express Entry lotteries, the highest-scoring individuals are invited to apply for permanent residency.

By applying immediately through Express Entry, it is possible to bypass the PNP process and receive a permanent residency invitation. A provincial nomination, on the other hand, earns candidates an automatic 600 CRS points, practically ensuring that they will obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

The MPNP, which supports immigration applications to the federal government, is in charge of Manitoba’s immigration programs. Provinces in Canada do not have the authority to grant permanent residency, although they can assist an application by giving provincial nominations.

To be considered for a nomination from Manitoba, you must first submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. This qualifies you for an LAA through the Manitoba Skilled Workers and Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas programs.

Manitoba then assigns a score out of 1,000 to candidates based on their human capital and connections to the province.

The Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories are intended to help Manitoba identify applicants who fit the province’s labor market requirements.

Candidates from outside of Manitoba must demonstrate ties to the province, such as close family ties, prior experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. To be eligible, you do not need to live in Manitoba at the time of your application.

You must have a full-time employment offer from a provincial company to be eligible for an invitation under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category.

If they can demonstrate that they have in-demand abilities, international graduates who complete their studies in Manitoba may be eligible for an invitation under the International Education Stream.
