Benefits of Opting for Skilled Australian Migration

Skilled Migration is a program that allows skilled workers from all around the world to come to Australia to live and work. It is primarily intended to respond to and address Australian labor market realities.

Skilled workers can also apply for a Permanent Resident Visa in Australia under the Skilled Migration Program, based on their qualifications, work experience, and capacity to meet the criteria.

5 Visa Sub-Classes

Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189): This is a permanent residence visa for those who are not sponsored by a company or a family member, and who are not nominated by a state or territory government.

Skilled Nomination Visa (Subclass 190): This visa is available to those who have been nominated by a state or territory government agency. It allows a permanent resident to live and work in Australia.

Graduate Temporary Visa (Subclass 485): This visa allows students to live and work in Australia for up to four years after completing at least two years of education there.

Skilled-Nomination or Sponsored Provisional (Subclass 489): This visa allows skilled workers and their families to reside, study, and work in certain Australian regional locations.

Skilled Regional (Subclass 887): This visa is for those who have resided in Australia for at least two years and have worked there for at least one year. However, one must be in Australia at the time of application and until the visa is approved.

However, there are a few things to consider before applying for any visa under the Skilled Migration program.

Australia’s Skilled Migration is Point-Based: The number of points you have determines whether you are eligible to apply for a visa under skilled migration. Qualifications, work experience, and English proficiency are all taken into account while awarding such points. You must receive a minimum of 60 points based on these considerations.

You should choose one of the following occupations from the Skilled Occupation List:

You must choose an occupation from the Skilled Occupation List if you are applying for an Independent Skilled Visa (subclass 189). (SOL). The Department of Home Affairs values occupations on the Skilled Occupation List and gives them top consideration for permanent residency applications.

States’ Skilled Occupation Lists Vary: In general, states choose their skilled migrants based on their labor needs. If your occupation is not listed on the SOL, you may nominate one from the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL).

Because the Skilled Migration Program will continue to change as economic requirements change, it is critical to choose a course of study based on your interests.

Some Choice Career Pathway Options

Nursing: Qualified nurses are in high demand in Australia, and this demand is predicted to grow with each passing year. As a result, if you want to pursue a career in nursing, studying in Australia might provide you with excellent job and permanent residency chances.
