Canada has reopened all-program draws, and 829 PNP candidates have been invited for PR

See the Invitations for PR in the latest Canada PNP Draw.

Recently, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada invited 829 Express Entry applicants to apply for permanent residence. All qualified candidates were referred by a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of at least 772.Because Express Entry candidates get an automatic 600 points added to their score when they receive a provincial nomination, the lowest qualifying cut-off was relatively high. The lowest-scoring individuals would have had 172 base points if they didn’t receive the nomination.

The resumption of Express Entry invitations for Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applicants will start from early July. Furthermore, the majority of new Express Entry applications will be completed within six months, as usual.

In the months before the epidemic, IRCC rarely conducted PNP-only draws. Rather than inviting the top candidates to apply for immigration regardless of which program they were eligible for, IRCC would frequently invite the most successful applicants to apply for immigration independently of their chosen program.
