Canada Start Up Visa



Canada Start Up visa, a business program designed by the Canadian government is a way to let the immigrant entrepreneurs to start their business in the country. Canada Start Up visa – Eligibility for Applying for :

  1. A convincing business idea to get a letter of support from venture capital fund. The minimum investment is $200,000 if it is from a designated Canadian venture capital fund.
  2. The minimum level of CLB 5 needs to be met in either English or French.
  3. Mandatory completion of at least one year of post-secondary education.
  4. Proof showing your reputation for the past one year during your time in a post secondary institution.
  5. Must have enough funds to support themselves and their family after coming to Canada.

In case of a citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you get to sponsor your common law partner or spouse, kids or other family members to stay with you while you are in Canada.

Eligibility to sponsor your spouse:

1. You should be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
2. You should be above 18 years of age.
3. You should have enough funds to support your family.
4. Agree in writing to support your spouse at least for 3 years after they get permanent residency status. In case of a dependent child the number of years is 10 years or until they turn 25.

Canada Start Up visa Fee:

  • Principal applicant-475
  • Principal applicant, if less than 22 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner -75 CAD
  • Right of Permanent Residence Fee-490 CAD
