Finance & insurance guys have a chance in New Zealand

There is shortage of finance & insurance professionals in New Zealand. The country has a large financial & insurance services sector. The sector accounts for almost 6% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of New Zealand presently. The financial sector includes 25 banks that operate in the country. Besides the banks there are many other non-banking financial services companies. There are many insurance companies and the insurance sector in the country is among the least regulated in the world. Recent natural disasters, such as the earthquake in Christchurch in 2011, have increased demand for insurance services. Currently there is big shortage of insurance loss adjustors in this sector in the country.

There is also shortage of accountants. So if you are a chartered accountant or have any other degree in accounting then you can try for a work visa to New Zealand. You have a good chance of getting one. It is advisable for those going to study in New Zealand with the intention of permanently settling there to pursue a degree in accounting.

The economic prospects of New Zealand in future are very good. This is because of the Ease of Doing Business in the country. In the latest World Bank Ease of Doing Business Index, New Zealand has been ranked as the second easiest country in the world to do business, after Singapore. And a country where it is easy to do business, the economy will always prosper and jobs will not be in short supply for the skilled and eligible.
