How to apply for canada PR visa

If you wish to immigrate to Canada and wish to become a Canada PR Visa holder, then this is the best time to apply. Currently, Canada is inviting more than 3, 00,000 people. There are 2 steps involved in this process.

Step I: Create your Canadian Express Entry profile.

First, an online application form needs to be filled for the Express Entry profile, where you will need to add all the information on the basis of your:

  • Skills;
  • Educational degrees or diplomas;
  • Language proficiency;
  • Work experience;
  • Other personal details.

Once you start filling the application, you get 60 days to complete it. The information must be correct. The information will help to find out if you are eligible or not. If you meet the requirements then your profile will be accepted into the pool of eligible candidates.

Step II: Get an Invitation to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residency visa

Once your profile is accepted in the Express Entry pool, you will be ranked using a point-based system called the CRS or the Comprehensive Ranking System.

The CRS will score your profile from the information you provided while filling out your online Express Entry application which includes:

  1. Skills;
  2. Educational degrees or diplomas;
  3. Language proficiency;
  4. Work experience;
  5. Other details.

You can also score more for:

  • Degrees or diplomas from Canada;
  • A valid job offer from a Canadian employer;
  • A nomination from any Canadian territories or provinces.

The highest scoring profile receives an ITA. And if you are invited to apply, you will get only 3 months or 90 days to submit an online application for the Canada Permanent Resident visa.

If you don’t receive an ITA for the Canada PR Visa within 12 months of submitting your Express Entry application, then you will have to create a new profile and submit again. If you still meet the requirements, you can re-enter the Express Entry pool.
