Manitoba PNP invites Skilled Workers Overseas and Express Entry candidates

Description: Manitoba restructures its Provincial Nominee Program

Till now, Manitoba has welcomed 2,269 immigration candidates to apply for nomination through its PNP.

On April 19, Manitoba surprisingly held a draw.

The province invited 399 candidates to apply for the Skilled Workers Overseas stream through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

The province also set different Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements, based on whether the candidates were invited through strategic recruitment initiatives, or if they already had an Express Entry profile.

The results of the new MPNP draw were:

  • 30 candidates with an EOI score of at least 703 were invited under a strategic recruitment initiative
  • 369 candidates with an EOI score of at least 708 were invited under a strategic recruitment initiative.

Candidates for the provincial nomination will only be considered if their Express Entry profile is still valid when the MPNP evaluates their submission. All invited candidates have 60 days to apply for the provincial nomination after receiving their Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA).

Manitoba has a variety of immigration programs aimed at attracting international talent to the province. The MPNP is managed by the provincial government which supports the federal government for immigration applications.

To receive a nomination from Manitoba, you must register an Expression of Interest with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This qualifies you for the LAA via the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
