Online Canadian Citizenship Applications are now Acceptable

The IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has released a freshly implemented online portal as a type of tool for virtual submission of citizenship applications using the Internet for everyone who faces issues using the offline mode.

Ever since the 11th of August, all those applying individually for Canadian Citizenship were permitted to utilize this online mode of application submission. However, this system hasn’t yet been released for usage to those who are employed under the crown and reside out of the nation, and also not to those individuals who are a part of family sponsorship or representatives of the same.

Eventually, as time progresses sometime towards the end of 2021, the IRCC has objectives to open up this system to all those minors below the age of 18 as well as to those applying in bulk. By the year 2022, all those representatives submitting applications on behalf of their respective clients shall be permitted to make use of this virtual platform. The same will be the case for those crown servants who live out of the Maple country.

Recently, when IRCC authorities disclosed certain crucial information to the local media, they specifically stated the non-requirement of those who have already submitted applications for applying online once again.

The IRCC was long before working on the implementation of this novel tool as a means to properly enhance the modernization of the immigration process. Its primary goal was just the testing of this system with the local public by the year 2020.

The novel online system has a couple of advantages like the permission granted to applicants to resume their online application filling after a while and saving a temporary draft into the system, uploading supporting documents for the process, submission of PDF files, receiving confirmation of receipts as well as displaying proof of payment.

Canadian Immigration moves towards Modernization

Transferring the Canadian immigration system from the clutches of traditionally utilized processes to a completely paperless one has been the sole goal of Canadian Immigration Minister, Marco Mendicino.

The pandemic’s arrival was a push in the right direction enabling the IRCC to proceed with modernizing the system owing to the online movement contributed by the implementation of public health measures. At present, the Maple country hosts a couple of citizenship ceremonies via online mode and also enables citizenship testing to take place in a virtual manner.

Apart from this, alternate routes of business have also begun conducting virtual landings of the freshly entering PRs. Lastly, immigration candidates are now witnessing the slow but steady digitization of a large number of applications that used to previously function just on paper.
