Quebec presents a new customized Integration program

Quebec migrants will have accessible support before they even land in the region. Under Quebec’s new integration program, immigrants will have a designated immigration assistant who shall take up their case procedure wise.

The customized support program – Parcours d’accompagnement personnalisé was declared on August 8 by Simon Jolin-Barrette, Quebec’s Minister of Immigration, Diversity, and Inclusion.

This new program, which is a part of the Quebec government’s migration law changes that passed enactment in June, is intended to “actualize the most ideal instruments” to help newcomers “effectively incorporate into Quebec society,” as indicated by a news report from the service.

So as to move to Quebec as a permanent occupant, outside nationals should initially get a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) issued by the MIDI – Ministry of Immigration, Diversity, and Inclusion. Quebec surveys and chooses foreigners as indicated by its own criteria. In the wake of accepting a CSQ, the candidates must apply to the central government to be included as permanent inhabitants.

There are four stages to the new procedure:

Community integration

There is a discretionary course for individuals who need to know and study the socio-cultural facts and employment advertising in Quebec. The Province is offering an incentive of $185 for the individuals who participate.
