Saskatchewan expands eligible in-demand occupations list

The province has expanded the in-demand occupation list associated with it’s Express Entry and in-demand occupation sub-category from 19 occupations to 200 and more. These two popular streams under SINP (Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program) do not require work experience or job offer in Canada to be eligible for any of the programs.

The Express Entry sub-category is for candidates having an active profile in  Canada’s federal Express Entry pool. The candidates who obtain provincial nomination through SINP’s Express Entry sub-category are rewarded with 600 additional points towards their CRS score. This secures candidates’ profile towards getting a Canadian permanent residence.

Another stream of in-demand occupation sub-category is for the candidates who are not in the Express Entry pool. Both the categories of immigration require work experience in the high-skilled occupation one that is rated skill level A or B or 0 under Canada’s NOC or National Occupation Classification list. Instead of listing eligible occupation list now, SINP is listing the 129 occupation list that is excluded. This makes more than 200 occupations eligible now.
