In a selection round held on March 6, 138 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination were issued through Express Entry and Occupation In – demand candidates. Saskatchewan issued 70 invitations through Express Entry sub-category and rest of the 68 invitations were issued through Occupation In-demand sub-category.

The sub-category Occupation In-demand is not linked with Express Entry, hence in order to be considered for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan’s Occupation In-demand sub-category or Express Entry, the first step is to create a profile of EOI (Expression of Interest) with SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program).

The candidates who are eligible will receive a score based on their education, work experience, proficiency in the language (English or French) and their connections to Saskatchewan are entered into the pool according to their immigration sub-categories.

High-ranking profiles are then invited through regular draws for provincial nominations from the pool of candidates of both the sub-categories.

The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) has now issued 515 invitations through Express Entry sub-category and 302 invitations through its Occupation In-demand sub-category in 2019.
