Tomorrow shall witness the announcement of Canada’s Novel Travel Rules



With the Maple country’s prevalent border rules, regulations, and restrictions facing an intermittent expiry on the 21st of July, 2021, tourism within the United States shall witness a novel implementation of policies and guidelines to be released by the Government of Canada, also covering tourism with regards to the rest of the globe and flights moving to and fro from India.

There is an up-beat enthusiasm in the air as the country is set to very soon reveal its newly revised travel rules and policies pertaining to the COVID-19 scenario existent within Canada. These original restrictions first witnessed their massive introduction back in March 2020 and right until 2021 have only been experiencing frequent extensions on a monthly basis. On a gradual mannerism, Canada has slowly aimed to ultimately lift up all these impending restrictions.

Speaking in the general sense, the permission to travel to Canada now lies with the following population groups: Canadian family members, international students, Citizens of Canada, novel immigrants, people who have secured PR status (permanent residence), and temporary foreign employees.

All those exempted from traveling fall into dual categories of tourists residing in the United States while those coming in from the other parts of the globe. Ever since April, flights moving from India to Canada stand banned on account of travel restrictions.

Even though these Canadian border restrictions shall face a full-fledged expiry on the 21st of July, Justin Trudeau, the current Prime Minister revealed through authorities working in his office that novel rules pertaining to these restrictions would be revealed as early as in the coming week, also hinting towards making these measures and policies open to the public latest by Tuesday, just one day before the current predominant measures face expiry.

Owing to this statement released on Thursday by Trudeau, people have now encompassed a revised rectified sense of what comprises the new policies. The only thing everyone’s unsure of is when exactly does the Canadian government has solid plans to start lifting up the travel restrictions on air travel to and from India. The only thing that’s steadfast till now is the positive response towards the Government permitting potentially interested tourists to enter into the nation.

The primary goal of the Trudeau office authorities is the eventual allowance of only those PRs and the U.S. citizens who have successfully received both vaccination shots to enter the country as tourists. And the target period for achieving this feat is by the mid of August 2021. Alternatively, Canada is ready to open its wings to freshly vaccinated tourists coming from various other parts of the globe starting in early September.

However, both these feats shall be totally dependent on the nation’s ability to maintain an increasing rate of constant vaccinations through its drives while at the same time displaying a lowered count for its positive COVID-19 cases.

Even though the nation presented with a slower start as compared to other nations worldwide, Canada has emerged as one of the global leaders when discussing the rate of vaccinations. As per statistical data released by the Canadian Government, almost 80% of the population target group consisting of individuals of 12 years of age and above have successfully received the first dose of the shot, while approximately 40% of these have been fully vaccinated. As per data presented to the public on the 15th of July, the previous day revealed an accumulation of about 400 novel coronavirus cases.

April 2021 presented the nation’s highest record of positive cases owing to the pandemic when compared with alternate period rates, presenting with a whopping 9000+ fresh cases.
