It’s a process that can be completed through the Canadian government, and it’s a great way to ensure that your loved ones are able to stay in the country permanently. In this blog post, we will discuss all of the details surrounding sponsorship for parents and grandparents. We’ll answer some of the most common questions and provide an overview of the application process. So if you’re interested in sponsoring your loved ones, keep reading!
The Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) is a Canadian immigration programthat allows citizens and permanent residents of Canada to sponsor their parents or grandparents for Canadian permanent residency. The program was created in order to reunite families, and it has been successful in doing so. In 2021 IRCC held a lottery and invited 30,000 Canadian citizens and permanent residents to submit their sponsorship applications under the PGP.
A Canada Super Visa is a multiple-entry visa that allows the holder to stay in Canada for up to five years at a time. It is available to parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and it allows them to spend extended periods of time with their families in Canada. The Super Visa is valid for up to ten years, and it can be renewed.
The main difference between the PGP and the Super Visa is that the PGP leads to Canadian permanent residency, while the Super Visa does not. The Super Visa is simply a multiple-entry visa that allows the holder to stay in Canada for up to five years at a time.
In order to be eligible for the PGP, you must meet the following criteria:
The first step in the application process is to fill out the interest to sponsor form. If you are invited to apply to sponsor your parents or grandparents, then submit an online application to become a sponsor and a PR application for parents or grandparents simultaneously. You will need to provide basic information about yourself, your sponsor and your parents or grandparents. While you submit the online application, you will need to include proof of your relationship with the parent or grandparent, proof of financial support, a copy of the sponsor’s Canadian citizenship or permanent residency and some additional documents.
There are a few things you can do to increase your chances of success when applying for the PGP:
The latest figures show that the PGP is still going strong, with over 30,000 people invited in 2021. The program is expected to continue to sponsor a large number of people in the coming years.
The PGP is expected to sponsor a similar number of people in 2022 as it did in past years. The program will continue to be popular, and there is no reason to expect the number of sponsorships to decrease. Information about the 2022 PGP is not yet available.
The PGP is a great way to reunite families and sponsor your parents or grandparents for Canadian permanent residency. The program has been successful in doing so, and it is expected to continue to sponsor a large number of people in the coming years.
