Canadian Experience Class Program:

The minimum requirements for Canadian Experience Class program under Canada Express Entry are:

•  12 months full time or the equivalent amount in part time, skilled work experience in Canada within 3 years prior to applying.
• Authorized Work experience in Canada
• Fulfill the language requirements needed for your job
• Live outside of Quebec as Canadian Experience Class program is not applicable to this province.

P.S. Work experience obtained while you were studying does not count according to this program.

Skilled work experience:

A candidate needs to have Canadian skilled work experience within three years of applying for Canadian Experience Class program. Skilled work experience is defined by the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) as

• Managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0)
• Technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)
• Professional jobs (NOC skill type A)

Full time work experience requires you to compete 30 hours per week for 12 months that adds up to 1560 hours in a year. Candidates with part time work experience need to complete 15 hours per week for 24 months or 30 hours per week for 12 months at more than one job.

Canadian Experience Class Education Eligibility:

There is no educational requirement to apply under Canadian Experience Class program. Following are the requirements to earn points for education which will be helpful for Canada Express Entry.

• A diploma, degree or Canadian secondary/post-secondary certificate

Or

• In case you completed your education outside Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report, which shows that your foreign educational credential is the equivalent of a completed Canadian diploma, degree or secondary/post-secondary certificate

 Language ability:

A candidate applying for canadian experience class needs to meet the minimum language level of Canadian Language benchmark

• meet the minimum language level of Canadian Language Benchmark, which is

7 for NOC ‘0’ or ‘A’ jobs or 5 for NOC ‘B’ jobs

• Pass a language test that shows that you meet the required language level for speaking, reading, and writing.
