To qualify for Express Entry, immigrants need at least 67 points out of 100. The requirements are meant to make the process more selective and to ensure that only the best & most qualified candidates are accepted. In this post, we will discuss what the new minimum points requirement means for potential immigrants.
Express entry is one pathway for getting Canada PR, and there is a point system for the minimum cut-off.
The points are based on factors such as age, education, work experience and language ability. To be eligible for Express Entry, you will need to score at least 67 points out of 100, and these are for eligibility only and not for getting approval. The good news is that the 67-point threshold is easily attainable for many potential immigrants. The minimum point criterion ensures that only the most competent applicants are accepted into the Express Entry programme and reflects the state of the labour market in Canada.
