Dieticians Association of Australia

The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is the leader in nutrition for better food, better health and wellbeing for all.

DAA is the peak body of dietetic and nutrition professionals providing strategic leadership in food and nutrition through empowerment, advocacy, education, accreditation and communication.

DAA is the National Association of the Dietetic profession, with branches in each State and Territory. The precursor of DAA, the Australian Association of Dietitians, was established in 1976. The Association became known as DAA in 1983. DAA represents more than 5,500 members.

The DAA Board are responsible for the Governance of the Association’s affairs. The Board comprises eight elected Directors including the President and Vice-President. Administrative and professional support is provided by the Chief Executive Officer, the Professional Services Manager, the Communications and Marketing Manager, the Accreditation, Recognition and Education Services Manager and DAA staff.
