Quebec does not have a PNP program, but they have their own program for selecting immigrants. The Quebec Immigration Program selects immigrants who will be able to contribute to the province economically and culturally.

The Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) is a collaboration between the Canadian Federal Government and the Government of Quebec that enables foreign nationals with skills and training to immigrate to Quebec. The Skilled Worker Quebec Program assesses applicants on a selection grid of criteria, and those who earn enough points are issued a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) that may be used to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

The Quebec Immigration Skilled Worker Program is open to applicants from around the world who can support Canada's economy. To be eligible for immigration to Canada as a Quebec-selected skilled worker, a solo applicant must achieve at least 50 points. However, potential immigrants who apply with a spouse or a common-law partner must score at least 59 points.

It is administered by the Government of Yukon's Department of Economic Development Immigration Unit in collaboration with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada under the “Agreement for Canada-Yukon Co-operation on Immigration”. The primary objectives of the YNP are to help the Government of Yukon meet labour market demands in a way that is environmentally sustainable and secure jobs for both Yukoners and Canadians.

The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is a fast-track immigration program that allows skilled workers and graduates with experience in an identified occupation to immigrate to Yukon.

Streams under YNP

The YNP has four immigration streams:

  • Critical Impact Worker
  • Skilled Worker
  • Express Entry
  • Yukon Community Program (includes a Critical Impact Worker and Skilled Worker stream)

Eligibility criteria

Skilled Worker criteria (NOC 0 and A)

To apply you must have:

  • At least 12 months of full-time relevant work experience;

  • At minimum a high school diploma, or Canadian equivalency; and
  • Any higher education required for the position or NOC.

Skilled Worker criteria (NOC B)

To apply you must have:

  • any higher education required for the position or NOC.

Critical Impact Worker criteria (NOC C and D)

To apply you must have:

  • at least 6 months of full-time relevant work experience;
  • at minimum Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 4;
  • at minimum a high school diploma, or Canadian equivalency; and
  • any higher education required for the position or NOC.

Yukon Nominee Program process

If you're an eligible employer, you can advertise the open position to both locals and those from out-of-town; as long as no qualified Canadian or permanent residents apply.

A full-time, permanent position is made available to eligible foreign national by their employer.

Employer and foreign national fill out all required forms for YNP.

After the employer submit a completed application to YNP, our team will review all forms and documents. If the employer is approved, we will then review the foreign national information.

If a person is approved as a territorial nominee, he or she becomes a territorial nominee. The nominee applies to IRCC for a Temporary Work Permit. A permanent residency application is also filed by the nominee.

The nominee is employed by the employer temporarily while they wait for their permanent residency to come through. The nominee meets all admissibility checks in regards to security, health, and criminality. Once the permanent residency arrives, the nominee becomes a resident of Canada.

The YNP Fees:

There is no fees to submit YNP application.
