Canada administration reports VAC benefit changes

Visa Application Centers in Asia, Asia Pacific, and the Americas will require Canadian visa candidates to plan an arrangement to submit biometrics and pay additional charges for application entries beginning November 2, 2018.

Visa Application Centers (VACs) around the globe are contracted by the Canadian government to give people visa application support and fingerprints and photo accumulation (biometrics) services.

On November 1, the agreements at present set up with VACs in Asia, Asia Pacific, and the Americas will lapse bringing about the end of walk-in-services and the execution of extra charges for application facilities. Extra expenses will fluctuate based on the area.

The accompanying services will be given as a package at all VACs until November 2:

  • submitting paper applications
  • sending candidate’s reports, (for example, an identification) and returning them to the candidate
  • collecting biometrics (fingerprints and photo) by arrangement and additionally walk-in

A few VACs in the three regions will likewise be moving and the VACs situated in Perth, Australia, and Surabaya, Indonesia, will close for all time on November 30, 2018.

Candidates are advised to check their local VAC’s site frequently to remain progressive on benefit changes, the Government of Canada says.

Changes to VACs in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East will be effective beginning November 2, 2019.
