The Chief of the State of Victoria in Australia, Daniel Andrews during his visit to India last month, expressed that Victoria is the most dynamic, benevolent and inviting destination for Indians in Australia. He regards Indian individuals and their way of life and Indian commitment to building a cutting-edge Victoria.

The Premier said that around 110,000 Indians went to Victoria a year ago and the legislature would urge more Indians to visit Melbourne and other areas in Victoria since “Victoria is home to more Indian Australians than any other part of Australia.” He communicated his eagerness to collaborate with India for more travel plans from India to Victoria.
A strong cricketing relationship between India and the region prevails says Premier Andrews and they will still look at the opportunity of recruiting cricketers of Victorian and Indian fame to “help tell the story of the close links between Melbourne and India, and Australia and India.”

Premier Andrews said that the India strategy is to double the goods export to India as well as double the businesses engaged and partnerships in India. The relationship that Victoria wanted to forge with India covers trade and commerce, culture, sports, tourism, etc., Victoria government’s India strategy for the next 10 years envisions growing the value of goods exports from Victoria to India to one billion dollars by 2027.
